After years of abrupt denials and rumors, the first Android smartphone from Dell’s Mini 3 lineup will shortly be introduced in the coming first half of 2010.

Entering into an exclusive distribution agreement with AT&T, the Mini 3 smartphones is likely to provide various touch-screen capabilities of iPhone and will be equipped with Google’s Android mobile operating system.

With google’s own Nexus One phone dropping this past week, it seems that they have opted it as the right time for intense marketing. Rumours are there that by the end of this year the irresistible Apple iPhone will be dramatically replaced by the Android equipped smartphones.
