Next year app store will experience a surge of application and the number of applications can rise by thrice in the next year. Some day ago IDC made this prediction of growth after the completion of the survey on the app store.

In 2008 when the app store was first launched it contains only 552 apps and this November apple app store has announced that it has reached 100,000 mark and this exponential surge will continue in the 2010 too. In 2010 android apps will also increase many times along with notebooks applications. These applications will be going to optimize the performances of these devices.

According to the IDC the application surge of app store is the result of their superior manpower and marketing strategies of the store. This will continue to increase the app store for long. On the other hand android is not going to provide such a lucrative market for the developers as they are frustrated with functionality and complications of the android software. Some developers think that the market place of android is not useful and it is very hard to market and publicize the application. Some android developers are also not satisfied with the return they are getting from the applications.
